How to plant trees

Together we want to plant more than 100.000 trees

NIKIN? THOSE WHO PLANT TREES?

For every item we sell one tree will be planted – until today it are more than 170.000 trees spread all over the world. We have a close partnership with OneTreePlanted, the renowned environmental and non-profit organization from the USA, who does the actual tree planting for us. They regularly organize tree planting events where many volunteers plant trees in places where trees have disappeared by various reasons before and are needed the most. In other words, we serve as transmitters, because you actually finance the tree – with every purchase of one of our products.

We are a Swiss lifestyle brand that voluntarily reinvests parts of the proceeds in tree planting projects to give something back to our beloved nature and counteract climate change.

PLANTING TREES WORLDWIDE

We appreciate a close relationship with our partner organisation One Tree Planted. “OTP” is a globally active, climate-friendly, non-profit organisation from the USA. For every product sold, we donate “OTP” $1 to plant trees on more than 10 locations all over the world. The trees are planted where they are need the most – in places where the forest has previously disappeared by various reasons like agriculture, timber industry, habitat or natural events such as forest fires and droughts. We maintain a good relationship with the founder of OneTreePlanted, Matt Hill, who regularly helps planting trees too. The organisation works together with tree nurseries and is supported by many volunteers and committed helpers from the local society. The principle is basically very simple – so join us!

In 2019 we organised the first NIKIN Tree Planting Day where we reforested a part of our Swiss home area around the town of Lenzburg. In the future we want to organise tree plantings regularly – those who want to help, are very welcome!
